Julie Fowler

Specialist

Julie gained a BA (Honours) degree in English and Teaching Studies with Qualified Teacher Status at Bishop Grosseteste University and Hull University.

She has been teaching since 1993 and throughout this period she has taught in mainstream, independent and special schools. She has worked with pupils of every age and Key Stage.

For a total of fifteen years she worked at a Buckinghamshire Specialist School for Communication and Interaction and she has also been the Head of a Pre-Preparatory School and Nursery.

She is committed to the philosophy where a pupil’s individual learning needs are met so they can develop their full potential.

Julie has contributed to national debate around homework and SEND learners by writing an article for Nasen magazine which was published in September 2016.

She enjoys spending time with her two children and her dogs. She also has a keen interest in conservation, history and animal welfare.
