One autism related gene mutation identified.
Lots in the news today about a genetic switch left permanently in the “on” position rather than being switched on and off at different times of normal brain development. It is one of around 1,000 genes believed to be linked to autism and the University of North Carolina has found how this particular one mutates causing autism in some children.
